Sacrifice & Light

In the late spring of 2020 when COVID-19 restrictions clamped down and it became apparent they weren't going to be lifted, John began documenting the "Sacrifice & Light" health care workers across the planet have witnessed during the COVID-19 outbreak. This project was to serve as a vehicle for healthcare workers to tell their story.

They shared their most notable sacrifice(s) and also beacons of light and positivity they have witnessed during the outbreak.

John used his creativity and ingenuity to create their portraits while on video chat. Their  live image were projected onto a hospital scrub and John clicked the shutter to  create a striking portrait.
